bioRxiv - Preprint-Server for the Life Sciences
Unpublished preprints in the life sciences can be posted on bioRxiv. By posting preprints on bioRxiv, authors are able to make their findings immediately available to the scientific community and receive feedback on draft manuscripts before they undergo a journal's peer review process. Preprints deposited in bioRxiv can be cited using their digital object identifier (doi) and authors can choose from several distribution/reuse options under which to make the article available.
Beilstein Journal of Organic Chemistry
Beilstein Journal of Organic Chemistry is an international, peer-reviewed Open Access journal for the field of organic chemistry. The journal does not charge any subscription or publication fees, thus making it free for both authors and readers. The combination of its archival in PubMed Central, one of the largest digital full-text archives worldwide, and indexing in PubMed fulfill the archivation requirements of many funding institutions. Furthermore, the journal is listed in the journal Science Citation Index Expanded (Clarivate Analytics) and indexed at Chemical Abstracts Services (CAS).

It aims at making academic publications in high-energy physics accessible to all. Numerous key journals were converted to open access at the beginning of 2014. Peer reviewed articles are now published under the Creative Commons license "Namensnennung" (CC BY).

The platform also offers the possibility to recommend paper series and journals, so that they can be regularly included.
Postprints are primarily published, that is contributions that have already been published by a publishing house. To take advantage of this, please only give your publishing house simple rights to use and not exlusive ones.

The American Chemical Society offers the model ACS AuthorChoice for a fee. In it, an article is licensed open access, which is to be published in a traditionally published journal. There is a cost scale based on the institution's, that the author is a member of, subscription status.
